Pedro A. Marín Reyes

About

Pedro A. Marín-Reyes received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Computer Science; and M.Sc. degree in Secondary School Training from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain, in 2013, 2015, and 2019 respectively. Moreover, he received the Ph.D. in Computer Sciences from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in 2022. His research interests are focused on the diarization of parliamentary debates, considered a problem of verification/re-identification. He also studies vehicle re-identification, with a related article published in one of the most important conferences in computer vision (CVPR-18). Additionally, he addresses human-robot interaction problems in multi-floor scenarios. Last but not least, he serves as a reviewer for international journals such as Pattern Recognition Letters and Future Generation Computer Systems.

Since 2020, he has been working as a Vocational Education and Training (VET) teacher, delivering various IT modules in Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Level programs, as well as in specialization courses, in both on-site and hybrid learning formats. During this period, he has also coordinated several educational innovation and research projects. In 2025, he achieved the status of civil servant.
